Sacraments

Baptism, Confirmation, & Marriage Prep

The Episcopal Church recognizes several sacraments and rites that are significant in the lives of believers.

Baptism: Baptism is a sacrament that initiates a person into the Christian community. It symbolizes spiritual rebirth and is typically performed with water. At Grace Episcopal Church, Elkridge MD, Baptism is often administered to infants and adults who are seeking to become followers of Christ.

Confirmation: Confirmation is a rite in which individuals confirm their faith and commitment to Christ. It is typically preceded by a period of preparation and education. At Grace Episcopal Church, confirmation is usually administered by a bishop. Candidates are taken through lessons in the Catechism of the church.

Marriage Preparations: At Grace Episcopal Church, we view marriage as a sacrament reflecting the love and commitment of Christ for His church. Couples seeking to get married at our Church undergo a preparation process including counseling, discussions about their faith, and planning for their wedding ceremony.

Sunday School

Children Sunday School

At Grace Episcopal Church, we cherish our youngest members. Our Kid's Ministry offers a safe and joyful space for children to learn about faith, kindness, and compassion. We provide engaging activities and teachings that inspire and nurture young hearts.

We offer Sunday School during the 10:00 am service for ages 3-17, during the school year.
