Dear Friends,
There is a lot of communication news to report this week, so here goes…
This week the new Grace website went live! Thank you to Kyra, Melanie, and Debbie for their extraordinary work to bring this about. This is a critical means for sharing information among Grace members, and the members of the public who are looking for a church. Clergy who are aware that you are in a transition are also already looking at the website to learn more about who you are.
Having referred to regular electronic communication as the Constant Contact informally, I am evaluating the names submitted to me for what will become a weekly newsletter, available on Thursdays of each week. It will include a brief letter from me, and news about events, ministries, and opportunities to serve. The deadline for the newsletter is close of business on Tuesdays. This is the same as the bulletin! Constant Contact discontinued their click feature that would take you right to what you want to read. Please pay attention to the headlines under the newsletter title so you know how far to scroll to what you want to read. The reminder about services with the bulletin will be available every Friday as always.
The calendar team has been reorganized as a stakeholder meeting every quarter. They are meeting this month. This means that every attempt will be made to have representatives of Grace’s many ministries at the table of each meeting so that the calendar represents all ministries and events at Grace. While this is an opportunity to suggest new programs and ministries, the primary focus will be having a calendar that all are invested in and support.
I am excited about all the ways we are renewing our life together at Grace. Please pay attention to the Tuesday deadline so that we can all participate in our busy and exhilarating common life.
God’s peace and keeping,
Mary+
